About Urnammu for Justice and human rights
Urnammu for Justice and Human Rights is an independent, non‐governmental, nonpartisan and non‐profit organization that was established in 2014 by a group of human rights defenders and activists in order to promote the principles of human rights and the rule of law. Urnammu provides assistance to individuals whose rights under international conventions and covenants and local laws have been violated. The values of the Urnammu are derived from the principles of international human rights, social justice and equality, in accordance with the United Nations agreements, conventions, and treaties.
Vision
Urnammu aspires for a free and democratic society based on respect of human rights, gender equality, justice, equal opportunities and recognition of international treaties and agreements.
Mission
Urnammu is an independent organization working in the field of, human rights and rule of law that aims for justice , human dignity, and the eradication of all forms of gender‐based violence and other types of violence and advocacy to achieve justice and reconstruction of memory.
